Welcome to polity.world
This is my new project. Welcome.
A while ago a publisher overseas asked me to develop a podcast to augment their written articles with audiovisual content. I was excited by the opportunity for a couple of reasons, first, because while I love the pandemonium of my SimonTV live shows and will continue to do them each week, I wanted to produce more polished and considered content. Secondly I'm a one man band, both producing and presenting the SimonTV live broadcasts which is a lot to do. Working with others will afford me the latitude to minimise task overloading.
The podcast with the publisher didn't come to fruition but I worked on the format anyway, expanding beyond the original remit to develop a fully-featured publishing platform which crucially, is collaborative. Ancillary benefits include a tiered subscription model, dissemination capabilities and support for other forms of monetisation such as advertiser friendliness.
And here it is. The purpose of polity.world is to facilitate collaboration and dissemination of content, I'm seeking contributors and collaborators to participate. If you're a writer seeking to promote your work or if you've interested in presenting your views on camera, this platform intends to facilitate your creativity. If you're someone seeking to consume new media content with a focus on our region of the world Australasia, consider subscribing: it's free and you'll receive notifications.
A description and demonstration of the podcasting capabilities is viewable in this presentation. And I'm excited to announce the launch of polity.world with the publication of our inaugural podcast which will be up later today. I'm hoping to produce one episode per week until enough contributors come on board to increase the frequency.
Welcome everyone, to polity.world.
